April CTMH Spotlight Blog Hop – My Creations

This month for the April 2011 Close to My Heart Spotlight Blog Hop we are featuring My Creation products.  My Creations are alterable items like board books, clipboards, banners, etc.  I have been waiting for this topic to show up for the Spotlight Blog Hop because I have so many My Creation projects that I would like to complete and this gets me going.

If you are starting the hop, just continue through until you make your way back to my blog.  If you have already started, you should be coming from Tamytha’s Blog.

Supplies used are all Close to My Heart: Sophia Paper Pack, Sophia My Stickease, Sparkles, Just Blooms Big Pinks Paper Flowers, Colonial White Waxy Flax, Baby Love stamp set, Spot On Backgrounds stamp set, Twinkle Brads, Mini-Medley White Daisy, Dimensional Elements Simple Alphabet Lower, Sophia Level 2 Journaling Spots, White Daisy Organdy Ribbon, Pear Ink, Blush Ink, and Buttons Pink Assortment.

I chose to use decorate the My Creations Cube.  There are six sides to the cube and there are also six different B&T papers that come in the Level 2 Paper Packs.  This means all you have to do is choose a paper pack and get started!  Then embellish any way you want. I added eyelets to all the holes just because I have a ton to use up.  I used waxy flax to tie together the box and I added organdy ribbon to the top for bows.  I started out using ricrac but that was way too hard to thread through the holes.  I used a sponge dauber to add the ink color to the dimensional element letters.  I wasn’t happy with the green but loved them after I stamped on the spots.  I used 3D foam tape under the stamped images to add more dimension.

Here are some more altered items that I have done that you may want to check out:
