Artbooking Layout Series- Nursery 1

(This is an addition to the CTMH New Product Blog Hop.)

As I stated a couple days ago, I will be posting a series featuring the scrapbook layouts on the new Artbooking Cricut Cartridge.  They will continue over the next couple months until we have reviewed all of them.  This is the first of that series.

The new Artbooking Cricut cartridge has 30 pre-designed layouts in 15 different themes!  Each layout is featured on one key.  This makes scrapbooking super easy, just cut and assemble!  Or you can create your own unique layout.  My favorite element on this cartridge is the overlays.  I will be sharing with you all these different layouts and what you can do with them.  Some will be created exactly as designed and others I will mix up to show you how you can make them fit your specific needs.  You can also do two 1-page layouts instead of a 2-page, which I’m sure is an option I will be choosing as well.

Hello World Layout by Wendy Kessler

Supplies used are all Close to My Heart: Artbooking Cricut Cartridge, Babycakes Paper Packet, Silver Shimmer Trim,  and cardstock (Blush, Sweet Leaf, Slate, Honey, Chocolate, and Brown Bag-retired use Saddle).  I also used Zig Markers for some detail and journaling.

For this first layout example, I created it mostly as-is in the handbook.  I changed the layout of the first page to accommodate my 6×4 photo by rotating the photo mat.  You can choose from heart or star photo mats.  The I rotated the 4×6 mat and because the border was different, I trimmed it off.  I didn’t realize this until after I cut it and had planned to just cover up  the stars with the Silver Shimmer Trim since the rest of my layout had hearts.
