This card was a bit of a surprise. My original plan was to fill it with stamped borders but once I did the 3 borders, I liked how it looked and changed my plan midway through the creation process. This is a fun card that you can easily recreate at a low cost and will be flat for mailing.

Supplies used are all Close to My Heart: Seasonal Borders stamp set, New England Ivy Ink, Glacier Ink, Candy Apple Ink, Scarlet Glitter Paper, New England Ivy Cardstock, and White Cards & Envelopes.

I really didn’t care for much in this catalog, however I loved the Butterfly Background Thin Cut! I love the specialty papers and also wanted to try a couple different things that I hadn’t seen yet. First, I diecut the butterfly background from vellum paper and holographic paper. Next, I punched all the pieces out of these and layered them together. Since adhesive shows through vellum, I attached only around the edge and discovered that the Stitched Rectangle Frame die is a perfect match as an overlay. After attaching the butterfly backgrounds to a bluebird base with the frame overtop, I inserted the smaller butterflies and flowers that were cut from the holographic paper. This background is so easy to use and creates the most beautiful cards!

Tips:
💙 When attaching the vellum, only use adhesive around the edges and cover with the rectangle frame.
💙 When attaching the frame, there is one butterfly on the top and bottom of the card that you need to move their wings so they are overtop of the frame.

Supplies used are all Close to My Heart: Butterfly Background Thin Cuts, Vellum Paper, Oasis Holographic Paper, Bluebird Cardstock, and White Daisy Cards & Envelopes.
