Supplies used are all Close to My Heart unless otherwise noted: Caprice Paper Packet (retired), Caprice Level 1 Stickease (retired), Recollections Floral Embellishments, Color Me Crazy Large Flower, and unknown button.

I can’t say I’ve been hoarding this paper, I just haven’t gotten around to using it.  I think the paper and pictures go together as far as my feelings towards them – they just needed to get scrapped.  They weren’t a special event or extra pretty paper, just every day things that I want to include to show a reflection of real life.

Now hop on over to Janet McCormick!

Coloring Layout by Wendy KesslerSupplies used are all Close to My Heart: Snowhaven Paper Packet, Honeycomb Embossing Folder, A Happy Hello Stamp Set, Inks (Cranberry, Glacier, and Whisper), Heartstrings Complements, Marvy Uchida LePen Journaling Pen, 3-D Foam Tape, Sparkles Clear Flourishes – Small, and Junebug Puffies.

One of the great things about acrylic stamps is the ability to “shape” them in new ways as you can see from my scalloped border.  I stretched out the stamp before attaching it to my acrylic block to create the elongated shape that I wanted.  I also cut the teardrop puffy shape to create the circles used in the center of some of the flowers.  This layout involved a lot of fussy-cutting but I don’t mind that.

Now “Hop” on over to Justine Hovey’s Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, A Happy Hello Stamp Set is only available through the end of February!

This set is available on my website for only $5 with a $50 purchase.  Shop now!

New Product Blog Hop (Spring/Summer 2014)

If you have already started the hop, you should be coming from Maria Myers.

Hoo-ray! Birthday Layout by Wendy Kessler

Supplies used are all Close to My Heart: Make It From Your Heart Volume 1 (Pattern 4), Ariana Paper Packet, Lollydoodle Paper Packet, Ivy Lane Paper Packet, Pink Glitter Paper, Lollydoodle Complements, Lollydoodle Assortment, Sparkle Flourishes, White Daisy Cardstock, Cotton Candy Washi Tape (retired), Flamingo Dots, Cricut Art Philosophy Collection, Corner Rounder, and 3D Foam Tape.

This layout is a great example of how you can mix and match all the paper packs and embellishments!  Who would have thought that Ariana, Ivy Lane, and Lollydoodle could all be used together?!?  What I really used were all the scraps left over after completing the Workshop on the Go Kits for each of these papers.  I am very pleased with this layout of “scraps”!  I cut the number with using Art Philosophy, layered it with Washi Tape, and trimmed the edges.  I used this same technique for the polka dot border on the top.  Sorry, I keep forgetting that the Cotton Candy Washi Tape is retired; I just really like it!  For this layout you could substitute another Washi Tape.  There are many that would coordinate.
