Welcome to another Close to My Heart blog hop!  Along this hop you will be visiting 29 very talanted CTMH Consultants as they give you a sneak peak of some of the new products available in the CTMH Fall/Winter 2009 Idea Book as well as a great variety of ideas for using those products and more!  New products will be available starting September 1st!

I have been wanting to do a book like this for my daughter who is 10.  This new album was just the push I needed to get it done!  If you notice on the front cover one of the flower centers looks like it has a little something extra – that’s because it does.  I really like these new spiral brads and just added a second spiral to give it more emphasis.  I used liquid glass on all the numbers and letters.  It really brightened the stamping.  With doing so much at once I noticed two things: 1. I didn’t have one single bubble! and 2. that’s a lot of squeezing and my hand is really sore!  I inked around all the edges when I was finished.  It helps covers the flaws and really added a nice finishing touch.  One thing I am going to go back and do is use my Made with Love stamp set to add a stamp to the back that will be perfect for this project.

Products used are all CTMH: My Creations All-Sorts Mini Album, Sweet Home Level 2 Paper Packet, Just Blooms White Daisy Variety Pack Paper Flowers, Mini-Medley Accents Collection (Pewter), Liquid Glass, Rustic Alphabet & Rustic Numbers stamp sets, Soft Set Eyelet Tool & Soft Set Eyelets (Chocolate), Dimensional Elements Framed Fun, Foam Tool (to apply ink), Connection Club Reward Adhesive-Backed Pearls, Buttercup Collection Ribbon Rounds, and Garnet ink.

I made these at a weekend crop awhile back.  They were fun and easy to do.  I purchased the chipboard albums (by Bo Bunny) at the LSS.  They were a good price and I liked the decorative page edges.  They came in a variety of colors.  I chose these because they were perfect for Girl Scouts.  The Girl Scout papers, rubons, and embellishments are by K&Company and the best place I’ve found to get these was JoAnns online.  Other stickers, the ribbon, sparkles, and stamps are CTMH.

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! We will be featuring June’s SOTM, which is called Tender Tags, a set of 15 stamps.

This month we have 42 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month’s SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs.   This is simple to do – just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one!

This is a cute and simple idea that can be used for any number of occasions – just change the colors of the decorations to suit your needs.  The pink strip and the flower on the top are Stickease.  I filled my tube with skittles but you could add whatever to make it your own – M&M’s or other candies, even scrapbook items for a scrapbooking friend!  They can be used as party favors, teacher or other thank you’s, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, birthday, Christmas, weddings, the list is endless!
Technique used: I used the rock and roll stamping technique on the tag.  First I inked the Tender Tag stamp with Sunflower ink, next I “rock and rolled” the outside of the stamp onto the Tulip ink pad.  This adds the Tulip ink only to the edges of the stamp.  I then stamped the image onto White Daisy cardstock and cut it out with my Micro-Tip Scissors.  Last I added the “To:” and “From:” stamps with Tulip ink.
Products used: Animal Cookies Level 2 Paper Packet, Animal Cookies Level 2 My Stickease, Tulip ink, Sunflower ink, Tender Tags stamp set, White Daisy Ricrac, Clear Sparkles, White Daisy eyelet, White Daisy cardstock, Micro-Tip Scissors, and any empty tube of Just Blooms Paper Flowers or Designer Ribbon Rounds.
Now “Hop” on over to Paiges’s Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the consultant’s blogs to get some great scrapbooking, cardmaking, and other fun craft ideas!  Remember, the June SOTM is only available until June 30th!  Contact your CTMH Consultant (or click here) to see how you can get this stamp set at a discount or even free!
If you get lost on the hop or find links that aren’t working, here is a complete list of participating blogs:

I found these cardboard type containers on a rummage sale.  I made them mine own by painting them in bright colors with MM paint.  I stamped the flowers with white paint and added ribbon around the edges with Glue Lines for a finished touch.  I use mine as storage in my scrapbook room but there are endless possiblities to what you could do with them.  Choose colors and themes to suit your needs for your scrapbook room, the office , the kids room, or even the garage.  Hmm…I think I might have to keep an eye out for more of these!

I have lots of pics so this may take a bit to load…

All supplies are CTMH:
– 3×3 Mini Album (cream with organdy)
– Paper: Life Delights and Colonial White cardstock
– Colors: Sweet Leaf, Lilac Mist, Blush, Baby Pink, Chocolate (and blending pen).
– Stamp Sets: Free Spirit, June Word Puzzle, Friendship Blessings, Spot on Backgrounds, Playful Flourishes, April Word Puzzle, Celebrate Life, A Friend Is…, and Made by Me.

I used a blending pen to color in the flowers on the front cover. The cover was very easy to stamp on, just lay the book open and hold flat with the ribbon tucked under. Now I want to do more of a “boy” one.  I’ll share when I get it done but it could be awhile. 🙂
