Technique Hop – Creative with Cardstock
Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop! This month we are getting creative with cardstock, which is perfect with the March special! This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork incorporating this technique. If you are coming from Haley Dyer’s Blog, you are on the right track!
I finally broke down and purchased the Layered Flower Thin Cuts. I am happy and proud to say that I have put them to good use the very first day! The best thing about creating with cardstock is that there is no limit on colors (especially when using Close to My Heart cardstock). I pulled these colors directly from the photo and normally I would never put them together. With the two-tone cardstock, it was easy to find colors that worked. These flowers are meant to layer directly, however I like the look of them moved slightly off to create a shadow effect and an almost an extra layer.
Supplies used are all Close to My Heart: Cardstock (Linen, Wild Berry, Grape, Sundance, Nectarine, Evergreen, Sage), Layered Flowers Thin Cuts, Stitched Fancy Brackets Thin Cuts, Smile Big Stamp Set, Evergreen Ink, and Rosemary Shimmer Brush.
Thanks for stopping by! Please continue onto Maz Wood’s Blog where you will find some additional artwork highlighting this technique! Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought of my variation and happy hopping!
