For My Beautiful Friend Blog Hop (July 2020 SOTM)

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! We will be featuring the For My Beautiful Friend stamp set, which is the July 2020 Stamp of the Month. I figured that a lot of people would work with the flowers from this stamp set so I focused on the butterfly instead to make my cards.

This one looked better in my head. I guess I need to work on my blending although some colors seemed to blend onto the paper better than others. I still like it.

Products used are all Close to My Heart: For My Beautiful Friend stamp set (July 2020 SOTM), White Embossing Powder, VersaMark Ink, Sponge, Inks (Candy Apple, Nectarine, Green Apple, Lemonade, Bluebird, Eggplant, Black), White Glitter Paper, Clear Sparkles.

This one was supposed to be yellow with blues but I must have had a color on my sponge so I switched it to yellow and purple. I tried blending the yellow and it didn’t work well so I added a double strip of ribbon – this is a great way to make a thicker band of ribbon on a project. I also used 3D Foam Tape to add dimension between the sponged paper and the glitter paper.

This last one might be my favorite if I had to pick. One tip I almost always follow when random stamping, like on this background, is to choose a large stamp, a medium stamp, and a small stamp.
