Welcome to this month’s blog hop!  This time around we are using the spray pen and hope you find lots of inspiration for this technique.  If you have already started the hop, you will be coming from Michelle.

Easter Layout by Wendy Kessler
Supplies used are all Close to My Heart: Unknown Paper Packet (retired), Sweet Leaf Ribbon (retired),
Colonial White Cardstock, Hollyhock Cardstock, Create-a-Shade Paint, Spray Pen, Hollyhock Reinker, Cricut Artiste Collection, Just Blooms Paper Shapes – Petals (retired), and Colonial White Brads.  Sketch from Sketch Savvy.

I used the spray pen in a very simple way but it is my favorite.  I used it to spray the background paper of my layout.  This is a great way to add a touch of color and pattern without using patterned paper.  I also sprayed the Just Bloom Flowers, some lighter and some darker for variety.  For my mixture, I filled the pen with water up to the 7th line, then added reinker up to the next line, and added 4 drops of the Create-a-Shade Paint.  I always add the Create-a-Shade Paint because I like the extra little sparkle that it adds.

Hop on over and see what Sheila had created for you next!

I never thought to use the create-a-shade what a good idea. Love your layout.

Lovely layout! The misted background is perfect for the Easter theme!
