Layout Challenge: #54 of 210

This layout was done awhile back when I did the Twitterpated Workshop.  I just got a picture and title added.  The title didn’t show up very well so I took a marker and colored the letters making them darker.

Supplies used are all CTMH unless noted: Zippidee Level 2 Paper Packet, Holiday Buttons, Black Hemp, Badge Buttons, Tinkerin’ Level 2 Stickease, Simple Stitches stamp set, Cocktail Alphabet stamp set, black ink, black & colonial white cardstock, Zig marker, and Cricut Plantin SchoolBook cartridge.

The challenge this month at Scrap Our Stash is to stitch on your layout.  Be sure to check it out and enter your own project for the month.  I love the look of stitching and there are so many ways to achieve it.  You can, of course, use your sewing machine.  (This is actually the only sewing I have ever done – on paper!)  Or you can poke holes with your paper piercer and connect them with a marker, use a marker to make “dashes” that resemble stitching, or what I did on my layout – stamping.  The CTMH Simple Stitches stamp set is one of my favorites.  It is faster than actually sewing and because the stamps are acrylic the are very easy to line up.  I created the look of stitching on the title as well as around all the blue photo mats.  It is a great look for any layout and often adds the perfect extra touch.

Products used are all CTMH: You Rock Workshop on the Go (which includes the You Rock Level 2 Paper Pack, Just Be You stamp set, and Mini-Medley Accents Outdoor Denim Collection, and Workshop Guide), Top Coats Rockin’, Bitty Sparkles, White Hemp, Rustic Alphabet stamp set, Goldrush ink, Outdoor Denim ink, Sunflower ink, and Edge Distresser.

These are sample layouts for next month’s You Rock Workshop.  Even though it wasn’t what I had planned for the pictures, I love how the Taylor Swift layout turned out!

2010 Layout Challenge: 27 & 28 of 210

Now I know it’s not Christmastime yet but it will be here before we know it!  Here is a fun and quick banner that you can make to hang over your mantle or anywhere else in your house.  We made this at the CTMH Convention and it is super cute.  We used the My Originals Around the Holidays Card Kit.  We used the new Posterboard Alphabet for the letters but you could use any alphabet.  The sparkles add a nice touch.  You can also change it to any six letter word, or a shorter word, or add a decorative piece on the end.  If you wanted to add a little more to it, you could decorate the back in fall colors and embellishments and you’d have a  reversible banner.  One word you could use for this would be ‘Thanks’.  Below are some closeups of the individual card pieces.
