Convert a Sketch
Do you use sketches? Have you ever thought to convert a sketch one to suit your needs? Let me explain what I mean… I will interchangably use card sketches for layouts or layout sketches for cards. Here is an example below. The sketch was the second page of a two-page layout sketch.
I looked at that and converted it to a card sketch.
Next, I used this new card sketch to create this birthday card.
The cupcake is from the Arched Wishes stamp set and colored with alcohol markers. The die is cut from the Everyday Arches Dies.
Tips: When converting to a card sketch, look at combining, condensing, and simplifying. When converting to a layout sketch, consider speading elements out and multiplying (one square could be an 8×10 photo, two 4×6 photos, or four 3×3 or 4×4 photos.
