I love working with these bright colors and the rock n roll stamping worked well on the fish!

Products used: Bo Bunny papers, CTMH Funky Fish stamp set (retired), CTMH White Daisy ricrac, and CTMH inks (watermelon, ocean, sunny yellow, hydrangea, & clover meadow).

Challenges:

I guess this would be due to a slow camera but I thought this picture was pretty neat. She’s moving so fast after lighting the firework that she has become a blur. Supplies used: CTMH Let’s Get Together paper and cardstock (Colonial White, Cranberry, and Buttercup), other embellishments unknown. I used cranberry ink on the grungeboard elements. Layout inspired by Imagine idea book by CTMH.

My Walt Disney World Album is Complete!!

We just made it back from Disneyland last weekend and before we left I was determined to finish my book from our last vacation to Walt Disney World in (gulp) 2005! Alas, it is finished and here they are. Be on the lookout for new layouts from our recent trip to Disneyland!

I found it was easiest and quickest for this project to use a set of coordinating papers for most of the pages. You can see how I did that below. The paper is a retired CTMH paper pack.

This is one of my favorite layouts and I currently have it hanging in a frame in my livingroom. All supplies are by CTMH except for unknown flower eyelets: Let’s Get Together B&T papers, Colonial White and Cranberry cardstock, cranberry ink, and C1271 Treasures of the Heart stamp set. Layout inspired by CTMH Imagine book.

I have lots of pics so this may take a bit to load…

All supplies are CTMH:
- 3×3 Mini Album (cream with organdy)
- Paper: Life Delights and Colonial White cardstock
- Colors: Sweet Leaf, Lilac Mist, Blush, Baby Pink, Chocolate (and blending pen).
- Stamp Sets: Free Spirit, June Word Puzzle, Friendship Blessings, Spot on Backgrounds, Playful Flourishes, April Word Puzzle, Celebrate Life, A Friend Is…, and Made by Me.

I used a blending pen to color in the flowers on the front cover. The cover was very easy to stamp on, just lay the book open and hold flat with the ribbon tucked under. Now I want to do more of a “boy” one. I’ll share when I get it done but it could be awhile.

Dance pictures are some of my favorite to scrapbook. This page uses Close to My Heart papers and ink, Bo Bunny cardstock stickers, ribbon (unknown), flower (probably from a bunch on a rummage sale), and the decorative brad in the center is from the Target dollar spot.

Mulberry Paper

Mulberry paper is a light-weight, semi-transparent type of handmade style paper. It used to be quite popular in scrapbooking and has fazed out although there’s no reason why you can’t still use it. I found this page from the past with mulberry paper and it also includes a tag (yesterday’s topic). Mulberry paper can be used as a background, as an embellishment, or (my favorite) as a frame. You can cut it for a straight edge, or you can wet it with a waterbrush or paintbrush and then tear it for a unique look.
