This card turned out very simple but I like that about it. I had fun stamping with this set. There are three stamps to the flower so there are lots of stamping possibilities. Directions for stamping the flower: 1. Ink with Desert Sand ink and stamp on scrap paper (to remove a layer of the ink). 2. Without cleaning, use a foamtool to ink the edges of the flower with Cranberry ink. 3. Then stamp the flower on your paper. 4. Using second generation stamping and Sunflower ink, stamp the center of the flower. 5. For the final piece I inked in Sunflower and stamped once to remove some of the ink. 6. As done previously, I used a foam tool to apply Desert Sand ink to the tip. 7. Attach to card with 3D foam tape.

Well, I have been looking through a lot of challenges lately and I always like a challenge, particularly sketches, to boost my mojo. I was sitting here reading blogs (instead of scrapbooking) and came across this week’ s Mojo Monday card. I’ve wanted to do one of these for quite some time so what better time than the present. I checked the time zones and figured out I had an hour and a half yet to post it. I also had a pile of scraps just waiting to be transformed into a card. With that said, here is my quick card:

Products used: Tinkerin’ paper & Stickease, ricrac, white daisy cardstock, and Little Boys stamp set (all by CTMH).

This card was inspired by the sketch and product challenge at Lime Light. It didn’t turn out as cute as I had pictured in my head but my daughter likes it so maybe it’s just a matter of taste. Decide for yourself and leave me a comment on what you think.

Products used: CTMH Moon Doggie papers, CTMH stamps: Fringed Phrases & Love Flourishes, hemp and buttons from my stash.

Stamping techniques used:
(1) 2-Step Stamping: when you use overlap stamped images using multiple stamps to create one finished image. I used 3 different stamps for the flower on this card.
(2) Second Generation Stamping: First ink your stamp, then stamp on a piece of scrap paper (this will remove some of the ink), then stamp on your desired paper. This will give your image a softer look/color. I did this for the pink part of the flower above. I used the same color of ink but used the second generation stamping technique for the solid part of the flower, then I stamped the second image on top of it using regular stamping.
