Sisterly Love Layout

This is my DT layout for Crop Chocolate.  I’ve used a kit by Fancy Pants as well as some flowers by Making Memories.  The layer of flowers is a transparency sheet.  The pictures and all the embellishments are on top of this.  I attached it to the patterned paper by poking brads through the flowers, transparency, and paper and I also added a few dots of adhesive under the flowers and my photos (places where it won’t show through).

Scrap Our Stash Monthly Challenge: Do a Birthday Project

Layout Challenge: #124 & 125 of 210 (due to the amount of time and effort involved in this layout and the extended flaps, I am giving myself credit for 2 layouts!)

2009 was quite the winter with more than normal days home from school due to the weather.  The weather also made it difficult for our family to get together for the holidays and birthdays.  So when the time came it was one big party!

For this layout I knew what I wanted to do but it involved a lot of thinking and planning to actually get it done.  These new Flip Flaps from Close to My Heart come in a variety pack of different sizes (these are the two larger ones) and allowed me to expand my layout and add many more photos.  First, I chose papers that I could use as both a Christmas and Birthday themed page.  Next I laid out the pages and protectors I planned to use.  This allowed me to arrange the photos on my spread.  This was the hardest part.  I didn’t do much for paper layering because of the planning involved so the rest of the assembly was just pictures and embellishments.  On the birthday section, I cut out one of the stars from the pattern paper so it would overlap my photo and become an embellishment for my page, then added star gems to the centers.

Pooh Halloween Layout

Supplies used: My Mind’s Eye Just Dreamy paper, Button Ups by Sticko, Prima Clearly Fun Shapes, unknown rubon letters, brads, and rhinestones.

Layout Challenge: #90 of 210.

These pictures are from many years ago.  With the colors of the Pooh costume I wanted to use something besides the traditional Halloween colors.  I pulled this stack out of my stash and remembered how much I loved it.  I used Sketch #32 by Helen Croft from Scrap A Little which is part of the November Challenge over at Scrap Our Stash.  Be sure to check them out!!

Another Disney Layout

This one is of Br’er Bear & Br’er Fox.   Br’er Bear was funny and left big smiles on the girls’ faces.  I really wanted to use the rubons like the first letters of the title for the entire title but did not have enough (too many e’s and r’s).  I opted to still use them and finish it off with stamping.  This is something I’ve never done before.  I’ve mixed different alpha stickers but not rubons and stamping.  I may do more mixing of stamps in may layouts because it’s a great way to fill in those extra vowels and common letters that we often low out of.

Layout Challenge: #85 of 210.
