This month the Sketch with Stash Challenge #3 at Scrap Our Stash is to use this sketch and at least 3+ pre-made flowers from our stash. This was an easy challenge for me because I LOVE both sketches and flowers!!

Supplies used: Stampin’ Up! Papers, American Crafts Elements Taffy Mini Jewel Brads, Making Memories Flower Metal Photo Corners, Studio 18 Gem Sticker, Prima Floral Embellishments, Bazzill Collection Cha Ching Brads, Recollections Boutique Fleur Floral Embellishments, Tattered Angels Pink Bubblegum Glimmer Mist, CTMH White Daisy Cardstock, and unknown felt flower ribbon.
This was one of those layouts that I didn’t like while I was doing it, not sure why. When I left and came back to it, it didn’t seem so bad. It won’t be a favorite but it passes for okay.
There is still time to submit your layout at Scrap Our Stash. You have until May 29th.

One of my goals this month was to use up the Close to My Heart Sophia Paper Packet. It was a bunch of scraps so I thought I’d make a bunch of cards. This just proves how far scraps can go! I made about 40 cards so I will be spreading out the pics over the next few days. First, I put all the papers/scraps on the cards. Then I went through my embellishments, found some that matched and added them to the cards. I really can’t say that these are my favorites but in the end I used up a paper pack and dug into my stash for embellishments that I have had for a very long time.
Embellishments used on the cards are: Special Moments Scrapbooking Embellishments, K & Company Wedding Collection Grand Adhesions, Marcella Dimensional Flowers, O’Scrap Stick Its, Stampendous Diamond Dot Stickers, Memories Complete Sticker Patches, Autumn Leaves Pretty Poppies, This & That Tags & Things Yellow Plaid Wood, Forever in Time Sheer Dragonflies, Recollections Butterfly Embellishments, Fashion Stickers, Close to My Heart Blush Polka Dot Ribbon, and K & Company Smitten Grand Adhesions.

More to come!

E1010 Chocolate Alphabet Large
D1296 Chocolate Alphabet Small

Supplies used: Dream Street Papers, CTMH Chocolate Alphabet Large, CTMH Chocolate Alphabet Small, CTMH Cotton Candy Ink, Recollections Glitter Shapes, and Kaisercraft Rhinestones.
As you can see on my layout, I really like using these coordinating alphabets together! One thing you may not notice is that I also used the “*” stamp and added it among the flowers on the background paper. I was amazed at how well it blended in as part of the pattern!

Challenge #6 for Use it or Lose it is Rainbows. You can use the colors, use rain, clouds, or rainbows, however you want to interpret it.
When I hear the word rainbow, I think a rainbow of color. My new Dotty for You Paper Packet was sitting on my desk at the time and I couldn’t help but notice the variety of colors in this packet so that’s where it started. My daughter was helping me and found the First Birthday title which surprisingly went with the papers and it came together from there. The paper isn’t exactly what I consider using up my stash because it is brand new but I mixed it with some older things from my stash so think that counts too! The flip flaps are not shown but I will be using them for a pile of 4×6 photos on the left page.

Supplies used: CTMH Dotty For You Paper Packet, Cock-A-Doodle Designs Page Topper, Recollections Lace Borders, Paper Studio epoxy stickers, Basic Grey Bling It, and CTMH Flip Flaps. August 2011 Page Map.
