My March Stash Buster

I was so busy in February with my new Close to My Heart products that I really didn’t dig into my stash at all.  I’m hoping to do more this month but I can’t believe we are already halfway through!  My personal stash buster for March is chipboard so I hope you will be seeing a lot of it.  My basket is overflowing so my goal is that it will be more manageable by the end of the month.

Supplies used: Crate Paper Prudence Collection Kit, CTMH Colonial White Ricrac, Martha Stewart border punch, Recollections floral embellishment, and chipboard hearts.  October 2011 Page Map sketch.

I don’t think this is a bad layout but I would agree with Christine “it’s not your best Mom”.  It was fun to pull out some different papers to use.  I made sure I used chipboard on the layout and the hearts turned out to be a nice (different for me) addition.

Friendships that Last Girl Scout Layout

Supplies used: Martha Stewart border punch, CTMH Chocolate Cardstock, and K & Company Girl Scouts paper.

Bravo to me for using a punch!  I don’t use them often but not I might have to more.  I sure do like the Martha Stewart punches much better than the Fiskars ones I have.  This is one of those blah layouts for me.  I just don’t like it and not sure why.  It’s not awful enough to redo so it counts as one more done…

Wedding Invites

This is my latest BIG project.  They were fun to make and something I’ve never done before.

Supplies used are all Close to My Heart unless noted: Colors are Colonial White, Chocolate, Sunset, Olive, and Barn Red Cardstock and Inks; Stamp sets are Amore, Cherished Flourishes, and Tender Tags.  Fiskars border punch.

Corn Maze Layout

Supplies used: Close to My Heart Mischief Level 2 Paper Pack (retired), Stampin Up punch, ProvoCraft Rob & Bob Studio coaster card, Close to My Heart You & Me stamp set, Close to My Heart Barn Red and Black ink, Close to My Heart buttons, Close to My Heart Waxy Flax, and foam tape.

This layout was inspired by Tammy’s layout from this months Scrap Our Stash Pagerize Challenge.  I really used my stash with this one.  The striped background paper is actually two pieces of scraps that I put together (using the stripes as my guide) and if you were to take off the photo mat you’d see the hole in the middle.  I really liked this paper though and was determined to use it.  And you’d never know!  I took Tammy’s layout and turned it.  Her border punch reminded me of one I had (that I’ve never used until now!).  The orange coaster was too bright but it was perfect after I inked it up with some Barn Red.  I changed the photo in the circle to journaling and mimicked her pieced title.
