Mother Daughter Scrapbook Layout

IMG_2611

Products used: Kaiser Chino pearls, Prima Fabric Fancies floral embellishments, more Prima flowers, 2 odd ones unknown, and pattern paper, stickers, and title are all by Pebbles Inc.  Based on an August 2009 Page Map.

I used my corner rounder to make the scalloped border along the top.  I had fun using all the flowers and these colors are very different for me.  I usually use pinks and more girly colors.

Best Wishes Card with stamping and chalk

Products used: Rob and Bob Studio Super Slab by Provo Craft, Art Warehouse Limited Edition stamp set, Versamark ink, Kaisercraft pearls, and unknown vellum sentiment sticker and ribbon.

Challenges:
Stampin’ for the Weekend – Fiona’s sketch
Penny’s Challenge #20 – Chalks
Quixotic Challenge #10 – Ink up an old stamp

I stamped the flower with Versamark ink and then rubbed chalk over the top with an applicator.  It is so much fun to see the color appear!  I finished the stamped image and really liked it but the paper I had picked out for it just didn’t look right so it took me awhile before I ran across this paper.  It’s very different colors than what I was looking for but I love them!  I liked the ribbon for this card and added multiple layers for a more solid look.  The stamp I used is from a set that I just had to have.  It was fun to finally use it!

ScrapSketch & Tinkerbell Layout

ScrapSketch is back up and running! I am so excited! These are the first 2 sketches for January and my layouts:

Products used: CTMH Stardust paper, CTMH Stardust Stickease, Lyrical Letters Cricut cartridge, Accents Essentials Cricut cartridge, Queen & Co. felt fusion, and Kaisercraft rhinestones.

2010 Layout Challenge: #14 of 210

Products used: DCWV Luxury Stack, Disney Jolee’s boutique by EK Success, Cricut Mini Monograms cartridge, Sandylion vellum Disney stickers, Kaisercraft Pearl Strips (pink), and unknown 3D butterflies/flowers and organdy ribbon.

I am very pleased with this layout.  I used the Diecuts with a View paper from a stack that I bought online and I didn’t like it as well when I got it so it became buried in my stash.  It was the perfect colors for these layouts and I don’t think I noticed before that it had a sheen shine that is very pretty.  The pearls I used come in strips and I used them to create my own flourishes and used the remaining pearls as centers for the flowers.  I’ll have a layout tomorrow using ScrapSketch #3.

Challenges:
Flutter by Wednesday – any butterfly, fairy, or angel
Cupcake Craft Challenge #73 – Going Girly
SSDS Week 23 – Girly
Raise the Bar – Debut Day!

2010 Layout Challenge: #15 of 210

Using an entire paper packet – Evensong Layouts

Products used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted): Evensong Level 2 Paper Packet, Evergreen stamp set, Chocolate Alphabet Large, Evensong Stickease, Cranberry Ribbon Round, Liquid Glass, Holiday Fabric Tags, Jolee’s dimensional stickers by EK Success, and Kaisercraft Pearls.

I started these layouts before Christmas using the Evensong Workshop on the Go guides.  Then I made more pages with the paper that was left.  Today I finished them up by adding pictures, journaling, and embellishments.  I had to take the Santa and reindeer sticker apart to make it fit the way I wanted. It originally came to be adhered up/down the long way. I wanted mine to go across the top of the page. In order to make it work I took the middle reindeer off the reins and turned it around. I cut the reins in the middle because they were too long and hid the seam under the middle reindeer. It worked great. The only thing I regret is not taking the entire sticker off the backing. You can see how the middle reindeer doesn’t have the transparent sticker behind it. I just added my own adhesive and I think it looks much nicer. I didn’t notice it until it was already down and then there was no way it was going to come off nicely so it’s staying where it is and I’m calling it done.
Something I like to do is try to use up an entire paper packet.  I did that with the Evensong paper after I made my layouts by making the cards HERE.  It’s a great feeling of accomplishment to use it all up and it is also amazing just how much you can get out of one paper pack.
These are my first layouts of the year so I am starting at 5 of 210 for 2010!

My Time to Craft Challenge #72 – Anything Goes

I have been telling myself all week that I am going to get to some crafting.  It’s Wednesday night already and I am just getting started, and it’s late.  Better late than never right?  This sketch from Clean & Simple was perfect for a simple card.  It also served as a confidence builder that I was able to finally get something done.  I’m planning to set aside more time tomorrow.  I found the ‘Wish’ rhinestone word on clearance yesterday at Michael’s.  Great turnaround time on buying and using, don’t you think!
