Makin’ a Splash Layout

Supplies used: KI Memories Surprise Collection paper, Making Memories chipboard flower, Fiskars border punch, Provo Craft alpha rubons, and K&Company adhesive chipboard.

This was my layout from the March Challenge at Scrap Our Stash that I forgot to post.  The  challenge was “Spring Cleaning” – meaning dig something out from your stash, dust it off, and use it!  I pulled out all the stops with this layout.  Everything I used is old, old, old and I literally had to dust off my border punch!  I used a sketch from My Little Sketch Book.  I just love sketches!  I’ve found some great sites lately and plan to use them more.  They make scrapbooking so quick and easy!

Belle Plaine Winter Day Layout

Supplies used: Fancy Pants Wintertime paper pack (paper, stickers, journal box), and Deck the Halls Trims by Making Memories.

This winter layout was from our Christmas trip to Belle Plaine MN in 2009.  It was a snowy Christmas and the question wasn’t IF you would get snowed in but WHERE you wanted to get snowed in at.  We chose to make the trip to my sister’s and we had fun playing games over the holiday.  The guys worked together to shovel and the girls made snowmen.  The Wintertime pack by Fancy Pants was perfect for these pics.  I purchase it from Crop Chocolate.  The scarf on the snowman sticker stuck out farther than I wanted so I snipped it off and stuck it down at a different angle to fit my page better.  I matted the snowflake sticker  border on red cardstock so it would stand out more.  I added fiber to the center of the snowflakes, the hat, and hot chocolate mug by tying it in a knot and adhering with a glue dot.  This added the perfect touch of sparkle to my page!

Love Layout

Supplies used: unknown pattern paper, Technique Tuesday scalloped baseboards, layered title by Colorbok, Making Memories Rose Petal Paint, Making Memories Rose Petal Specialty Glaze, CTMH Sparkles, Making Memories flowers, unknown ricrac, and eyelets.  Based on a Becky Fleck January 2011 Page Map sketch.  Scrap Our Stash February Challenge.

The February Challenge at Scrap Our Stash this month is LOVE.  I really dug into my stash for this layout.  I think the patterned paper may have been from the Target Dollar Spot at least a year ago, the scalloped baseboards are from when a local scrapbook store closed years ago, and the eyelets and brads are even older.   The ricrac is from a bag I found at a rummage sale!  I am not one for empty space on a layout or just plain cardstock so I filled the white cardstock space with heart-shaped eyelets to create my own patterned paper.  I painted the chipboard border with a pink base topped with a coat of specialty glaze.

Sweet Baby Layout

All supplies are by Close to My Heart except the rubon letters which are by Making Memories.  This is one of the layouts from the Magnifique Workshop Kit. (no longer available).

Sisterly Love Layout

This is my DT layout for Crop Chocolate.  I’ve used a kit by Fancy Pants as well as some flowers by Making Memories.  The layer of flowers is a transparency sheet.  The pictures and all the embellishments are on top of this.  I attached it to the patterned paper by poking brads through the flowers, transparency, and paper and I also added a few dots of adhesive under the flowers and my photos (places where it won’t show through).
