K Monogram Card

IMG_1916

This card may have turned out even better than planned.  I really like it but I wanted to do the stitching in white.  The only white thread I had was too thick to fit through the needle on my machine so this was my next choice.  Funny thing is this is the only time I ever sew!  The one exception would be girl scout patches and last year I found it easier to hot glue them on.  It was the only thing I found to work and I tried everything!  Anyway, back to my card…I used my glitter mist again (fun!), just for the letter K.  The butterflies came with glitter on them already.  I also folded the wings of the butterflies for an even more 3D look which really adds to the card.  They were easy to fold once I attached the pearls.

Products used: Making Memories paper, Bo Bunny paper, Basic Grey Opaline pearls, Basic Grey chipboard monogram letter, Tattered Angels Pink Bubblegum glitter mist, and Making Memories glitter butterflies.

Challenges:
Midnight Madness #16 – sketch
Paper Cutz Challenge #5 – something that flies
FTTC30 –  use pearls

B Monogram Card

IMG_1903

I decided with the busy patterned paper on this card that I didn’t need any embellishments.  I’m glad to have a masculine card done.  This was the first time I have used glitter mist and what fun!!  The color I used was not near as bright as I expected but I like how fast it dries.  I definately need to experiment more!

Products used: CTMH Good Times paper and Chocolate cardstock, Basic Grey chipboard monogram, Tattered Angels blue skies glitter mist.

Challenges:
