Artbooking Layout Series – Springtime 2

Spring Layout by Wendy Kessler

Supplies used: CTMH Artbooking Cricut Collection, CTMH Cardstock (Sky, Hollyhock, Gypsy, & Buttercup), and Recollections Rhinestone Stickers.

I like how the Rhinestone stickers made everything come together for this page.  The film strip is originally made to fit four photos.  I just trimmed it at the end since I only had three.

CTMH Technique Blog Hop – Cricut Overlays

Welcome to this month’s CTMH Technique Blog Hop.  Today you will see a variety of creative ways to use the overlays featured on the Cricut cartridge from the Artbooking Collection.  If you have already started the hop, you should be coming from Joy McHargue.

Live Your Dreams Layout by Wendy KesslerSupplies used: Sarita Paper Packet, Sarita My Stickease Assortment, Honeycomb Stamp Set, Artbooking Cricut Collection, Inks (Lagoon, Outdoor Denim, Gypsy, and Goldrush), and Aqua Dots.

For my layout, I opted to use the Honeycomb Stamp Set with the overlay on my layout.  I cut the hexagon shape with the Artbooking cartridge, then stamped with the Honeycomb Stamp Set and placed the hexagons behind the overlay.  It was a lot of work but in the end I really like the layout so I think it was worth it!

Now hop on over to Haley Dyer!

Everything ABC’s Blog Hop (A)

Welcome to the Everything ABC’s Blog Hop!  For this hop we will be featuring the letter A. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their A element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Linda’s blog ~ Scrappy Therapy.  If you came from Shalana Glass- Scrappin with Shalana then you’re on the right track!

UR Amazing Layout by Wendy KesslerSupplies used are all Close to My Heart: Laughing Lola Scrapbooking Workshop on the Go Kit.

This is my first time joining this blog hop and I’m hoping to make it a regular one this year.  I wasn’t sure what to do for the letter A.  I wanted something kind of easy to start off and I came across the Laughing Lola Kit that I had not done yet with the AMAZING title stamp.  I really like how the stamp sets in the Workshop on the Go Kits are now larger and focus on titles!  Note: they are the only stamp sets in the book that are shown at 50% meaning that they are even bigger and better in person!  I often change up the photo arrangement of the WOTG pages to make them fit the pictures I have as I did with this one.  This subject is pretty amazing too because this was my daughter’s fourth time donating to Locks of Love!

I am your final stop.  I hope you have enjoyed the hop.  Come back on Saturday, January 25 to see all the Letter B projects!

Here is the complete lineup in case you get lost along the way:
1. Linda Norman – Scrappy Therapy
2. Lauren Moore- CTMH Craftings
3.Susan Green – Flair Chase
4. Jenny Gilbert – Jen’s Creative Classroom
5 Shalana Glass- Scrappin with Shalana

Artbooking Layout Series – School 2

Think, Grow, Learn Layout by Wendy KesslerSupplies used: CTMH Artbooking Cricut Cartridge, CTMH Art Philosophy Cartridge, CTMH Paper (retired), CTMH Cardstock (Outdoor Denim, Indian Corn Blue), and Brown & Tan Glitter Paper.

I had already ripped up what was left of the paper I used to cut the photo mats into scraps.  If I hadn’t, this would have been an easy way to find the placement for the numbers and letters that I wanted to cut out of glitter paper.  I only had scraps and who wants to waste that much paper cutting the whole thing anyway.   Since I didn’t have the paper, I “cut” the photo mat without any paper on my Cricut mat.  I could then see where it had cut and was able to line up my scrap where it needed to be and repeat the cut.  I really wanted to add embellishments to this page but I just couldn’t because it really looks great as is.
