CTMH Technique Blog Hop – Irresistible Texture

Welcome to this month’s CTMH Technique Blog Hop.  If you have already started the hop, you should be coming from Sheila Bennett.

I chose the Honeycomb Embossing Folder for my layout.  I think it gives the impression of brick.  It adds a beautiful touch to the page!

Supplies used are all Close to My Heart: Snowhaven Paper Packet, Heartstrings Paper Packet, Heartstrings Compliments, Stuck on You Puffies, 2″Scallop Punch (retired), Inks (Ruby, Slate), Honeycomb Embossing Folder, Be Jolly Stamp Set (hostess set), Shinhan Twin Touch Sap Green Marker, and Shinhan Twin Touch Carmine Marker.

Now hop on over to Michelle Loncar!

Picture My Life as a Specialty Album

I have had this album planned for a very long time and have finally gotten around to doing it.  I had all the supplies, pictures, and everything ready.  When it came time to sit down and do the album, it came together very quickly.  I had a variety of photos that were easy to fit into page pockets on hand.  It was just a matter of cropping the photos, rounding the corners, adding them to the pages and filling in the spaces with cards.  Below are the pages that I made to complete my album.  This is from last year’s dance and I will just add on to the album for this year.

This won’t change my style of scrapbooking as I still prefer traditional layouts but it was a nice change and perfect for a special topic (like dance in this case).  It would also be a good option for a Christmas themed album.  I used the Skylark theme but there are many other Picture My Life Scrapbooking Programs to choose from.

CTMH Artfully Sent Blog Hop

Welcome to our Artfully Sent Blog Hop!  We will be featuring the new Cricut Artfully Sent Collection, which includes a card and font cartridge of 700 images, three D-size stamp sets, and one pack of 12×12 White Daisy Cardstock.  If you have come here from Michelle Loncar’s Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.

This month we have over 40 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this new Cricut Artfully Sent Collection and other great Close to My Heart products. Phone Layout by Wendy Kessler

Supplies used are all Close to My Heart unless noted: Cricut Artfully Sent cartridgeCardstock (White Daisy, Twilight (retired), Cotton Candy, Crystal Blue), Cricut Artfully Sent Collection, Cotton Candy Ribbon (retired), My Life stamp set (from the Cricut Artbooking Bundle), LOL Stamp Set, and Color Me Crazy Small and Medium flowers.

I tried to create a comical layout by adding the smile faces to the flower centers of the background and the words in the center of the paper flowers, what do you think?  I chose to use the Pocket Card on p. 32 of Artfully Sent to create a background for my layout.  Now the cards laid out like this do not quite fit on a 12×12 sheet so you can either cut it down, space them out a little, or cover it up (like I did here with the ribbon).  Mine was only short on one side but I decided that it looked best framed in the ribbon.

There are SO many different uses for this cartridge!  Don’t think that you are limited to cards alone.  The pocket cards can be used on cards, scrapbook pages, and they fit into the pockets for Picture My Life pages.  Another idea is to use the images as a mask or stencil.

Now “Hop” on over to Maria Myers’s Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas!

Everything ABC’s Blog Hop (W)

Welcome to the Everything ABC’s Blog Hop!  For this hop we will be featuring the letter W. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their W element will be featured in their post.  If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Linda’s blog ~ Scrappy Therapy.  If you came from Jenny Gilbert The Creative Heart then you’re on the right track!

Supplies used: CTMH Huntington Workshop on the Go Kit (retired)

For the letter W, I chose wooden buttons.  Every fall, instead of the standard school pictures, we find a place and take our own pictures.  Last year when these were taken it was last minute so we just took them in our backyard.

Your next stop on our Everything ABC’S blog Hop is Carol-Anne Grenier.

Here is the complete lineup in case you get lost along the way:

1. Linda Norman

2. Jenny Gilbert The Creative Heart

3. Wendy Kessler – My Scrapbooking Blog
