Use Your Stash Blog Hop – Ribbon, Ribbon, who has the ribbon

This hop is a circle; if you have just started simply continue until you make your way back here; if you have already started, you should be coming from Shirley Ross.

July 4 Layout by Wendy KesslerSupplies used are all Close to My Heart unless noted: Key to My Heart Paper Packet (retired), Juniper ink, Vogue Alphabet Stamp Set, Colonial White Grosgrain Ribbon (retired), Washi Tape (retired), and Bazzill Really Big Brads.

If you’ve been using Close to My Heart for awhile, there is a good chance that you’ve accumulated one of these large rolls of Colonial White Grosgrain Ribbon along the way.  Of course, it will work with any ribbon. :-)  This is a great way to use it up.  I just love making flowers using ribbon with this technique.  All you have to do is make a loop, attach it to a brad, and continue looping until you are finished.  I also used the ribbon for the number 4 in my title.  It’s a good thing we are using our stash for this because as I was looking for a letter set to stamp the title I found the Vogue Stamp Set and went  – wait a minute, that’s one I’ve been wanting!  Here I already had it and didn’t know so I better use it!!  And I do love it!

Now hop on over to Casandra Bennett!

Supplies used are all Close to My Heart: Sweet Home Paper Packet (retired) and Sweet Home Stickease (retired).
Sketches from My Little Sketch Book and 52 Sketches 52 Weeks.

I used the Sweet Home Paper Packet and Stickease for the letter S.  I just love the Stickease by Close to My Heart.  They are cardstock stickers so they have a nice thickness and they coordinate with the paper packets.  They make it very quick and easy to finish a layout.  You can leave them as is, add some dimension with popup dots, or embellish them with glitter, buttonssparkles, etc.

This is your final stop.  I hope you have enjoyed the hop.  Join us again next Saturday, September 27 for the letter T!

Love Card by Wendy Kessler

Products used are all Close to My Heart: Family is Forever Stamp Set (September SOTM), Inks (Cranberry, Olive, and Chocolate), Olive Cardstock, Sponge Daubers, and Colonial White Cards and Envelopes.

I think the tree on this stamp set is so beautiful!  I first inked it in Chocolate Ink, then using a sponge dauber and Olive Ink, I applied green to the leaves and stamped.  Next, I stamped the tree in Cranberry Ink on a scrap paper, cut out the hearts, and attached to the tree with glue dots.  I stamped the word LOVE with Cranberry Ink and fussy cut.  Leaving a small outline around the hearts and the word gave it a little bit of a shadow when attached with glue dots and makes them appear 3D without the dimension.

Now “Hop” on over to Peachy Iris G. Lamb’s Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the consultants’ blogs to get some great crafting ideas! Remember, the Family is Forever Stamp Set is only available until September 31st!  When you place a $50 order from my website, you can get this stamp set at a discounted price of only $5!
