Supplies used are all Close to My Heart: Cheers, 2016! stamp set, Wishes (Geometric Pattern on p. 124 rotated), Cardstock (White Daisy, Saffron), Red Shimmer Trim, and Inks (Pacifica, Cranberry, Saffron).

I am going to use this as a birthday card.  I just love that banner stamp!  As you can see, it is very easy to change the movement of the banner in different directions.  Not sure I feel this card is quite complete yet but I don’t know what to add without bulk (for easy mailing).  My original plan was to stamp “Cheers” on a banner piece, maybe I should have stuck with that but I like the stars around it too.

Now “Hop” on over to Sheila Bennett’s Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, the Cheers, 2016! Stamp Set is only available through the end of November!

Use Your Stash Blog Hop – Ribbon Galore

Welcome to this month’s Use Your Stash Blog Hop where we are using up a bunch of that stashed RIBBON!!  This hop is a circle; if you have just started simply continue until you make your way back here; if you have already started, you should be coming from Marie Flayer.

I have wanted to start making wreaths and this hop provided the perfect opportunity.  The style I chose was also a great way to use up lots of ribbons!  I simply started with a foam ring/wreath form.  I pulled out various ribbons from my stash (some CTMH, others not) and cut them into lengths that would fit around the ring.  Because I was using up ribbons, they are not all the same length but if you want a more uniform look you could cut them all the same.  Next I sealed all the edges of the ribbons so they wouldn’t fray.  After all the prep work was done, I sat down in front of the TV and started tying all the ribbons onto the ring.  If I had a bunch of the same kind I spaced them around it.  Once I had a bunch on, I pushed the ribbons together, then added more until it was full.  Originally, I had planned to cover the ring completely with one type of ribbon but I didn’t have enough.  If you do this, then you won’t have to push them together quite as much to cover the base.  I finished the wreath by adding a FALL title using CTMH Jute Ribbon (retired).

I am also not a big fan of the colors I used on this project.  They are great fall colors but not ones that I pull out when scrapbooking so this was a great way to use up a bunch of those colors and ribbons that would otherwise remain unused for a long time.
