This hop is a circle; if you have just started simply continue until you make your way back here; if you have already started, you should be coming from Sheila Bennett.

Supplies used are all Close to My Heart unless otherwise noted: Caprice Paper Packet (retired), Caprice Level 1 Stickease (retired), Recollections Floral Embellishments, Color Me Crazy Large Flower, and unknown button.

I can’t say I’ve been hoarding this paper, I just haven’t gotten around to using it.  I think the paper and pictures go together as far as my feelings towards them – they just needed to get scrapped.  They weren’t a special event or extra pretty paper, just every day things that I want to include to show a reflection of real life.

Now hop on over to Janet McCormick!

CTMH Technique Blog Hop – Music to the Eyes

Welcome to this month’s CTMH Technique Blog Hop.  If you have already started the hop, you should be coming from Sheila Bennett.

Life is Good layout by Wendy KesslerSupplies used are all Close to My Heart: Chalk It Up Paper Packet, Chalk It Up Scrapbooking Workshop Stamp Set, Marvy Uchida LePen Journaling Pen, Flaxen from Paper Fundamentals Whimsy Assortment, Stitch GuideMake it From Your Heart – Volume 1 (Pattern 06), and Chalk It Up Assortment.

I used the Marvy Uchida LePen Journaling Pen along with the Stitch Guide to create faux stitching on my layout.  I did this on the Paper Fundamentals paper and you can see that it worked pretty well (not quite perfect, but close) on the glossy paper.  I also added some detail to the title stamped image with the Marvy Uchida LePen Journaling Pen.

Now hop on over to Michelle Loncar!

Everything ABC’s Blog Hop (Letter D)

Welcome to the Everything ABC’s Blog Hop!  For this hop we will be featuring the letter D. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their D element will be featured in their post.  If you came from Linda Norman – Scrappy Therapy then you’re on the right track!

Dance Layout by Wendy Kessler

For my D, I chose DANCE, which is very popular at my house.  I realized after I uploaded this picture that I need to journal someplace on my layout yet.  My daughter’s dance team helped with a Fashion Show put on by one of the local schools and they performed two routines at the event.  If you are a fan of Project Runway, check out the second picture and you should recognize a couple people!  The layout is one from the Hopscotch Workshop and I replaced some of the patterned papers with cardstock.

Coloring Layout by Wendy KesslerSupplies used are all Close to My Heart: Snowhaven Paper Packet, Honeycomb Embossing Folder, A Happy Hello Stamp Set, Inks (Cranberry, Glacier, and Whisper), Heartstrings Complements, Marvy Uchida LePen Journaling Pen, 3-D Foam Tape, Sparkles Clear Flourishes – Small, and Junebug Puffies.

One of the great things about acrylic stamps is the ability to “shape” them in new ways as you can see from my scalloped border.  I stretched out the stamp before attaching it to my acrylic block to create the elongated shape that I wanted.  I also cut the teardrop puffy shape to create the circles used in the center of some of the flowers.  This layout involved a lot of fussy-cutting but I don’t mind that.

Now “Hop” on over to Justine Hovey’s Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, A Happy Hello Stamp Set is only available through the end of February!

This set is available on my website for only $5 with a $50 purchase.  Shop now!
