SeptBadge

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  We will be featuring the September 2015 SOTM, which is Paper Garden, a set of 10 stamps.  This stamp set also coordinates with the Artiste Cricut cartridge.

If you have come here from Sheila Bennett’s Blog , you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.  This month we have about 40 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month’s SOTM and other great Close to My Heart products on their blogs. To visit each blog for some great ideas just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

IMG_7296Supplies used are all Close to My Heart: Paper Garden Stamp Set (September 2015 Stamp of the Month), Say It All Stamp Set (a must-have Hostess Rewards stamp set), Colonial White Cardstock, and Stamp Pads (Pomegranate, Champagne, Honey, Fern).

Here is my attempt at a flat card using this stamp set.  First, I stamped the background with Champagne ink and sponged the edges and some of the paper to give it a distressed look.  I inked the bottom of the flower stamp with Fern ink, then sponged off the sections I wanted a different color and sponged on the Honey and Pomegranate.

Tip: Instead of masking the “Birthday Wishes” stamp, there was enough room that I could cut the stamp which allows me to easily stamp each word separately.

Now “Hop” on over to Melinda Everitt’s Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, the Paper Garden Stamp Set is only available through the end of September!

This set is available on my website for only $5 with a $50 purchase.  Shop now!

Great job using that stamp for the background! I love the outcome of it. I also love how you cut your stamp, sometimes we get so scared to cut up our stamps but it allows us to use them in so many different ways!

I like the softness of this card – not too overwhelming but nice and gentle. Great work!

Love your single-layer card! The chicken wire background looks great, and you did a nice job coloring the stamp.
