CTMH Technique Blog Hop - Washi Tape

Welcome to this month’s CTMH Technique Blog Hop. Ã‚Â Throughout this hop you will see creative ways to use one of today’s hot new products – Washi Tape! Ã‚Â If you have already started the hop, you should be coming from Joy McHargue.

Supplies used are all Close to My Heart: My Creations Pennant Frame, Smoothie Striped Washi Tape, White Marquee Enamel Shapes, Sparkle Clear Flourishes – Small, and Lollydoodle Paper Packet.

I need to apologize that I don’t quite have my project finished but I didn’t get it done ahead of time and I am just too exhausted to finish. Ã‚Â I think you can get the idea though. Ã‚Â I used Washi Tape to cover the Pennant Frame and I love the look!

Your pennant looks seamless! How did you do that? It is darling!

So as you are looking at the pennant, I started on the left with the washi tape vertical (up and down). I thought I had it straight across this first section. Next I worked in small pieces as I worked across the top and then the bottom section. Here’s where I started to get worried because when I went to line them up again using one piece they didn’t line up! At least the washi tape was no longer straight across the pennant, however in overlapping more of the stripes on one side (meaning the Washi Tape was now at an angle) things matched up perfectly again. I was very happy that it worked out! Even looking at it up close there is only one spot that is a little off but it did turn out, as you said, seamless!
