Layout Challenge # 119 of 210.

I just LOVE this stamp set!  The first thing that came to mind was to use it for anniversary cards because I make quite a few of those each year but I haven’t made it that far yet.  Right now I am focusing on my layouts so that’s what I created.  I made a heart border along the bottom of my page.  My decorative hearts are dimensional elements sponged with pink ink and then I used the heart stamp on top in chocolate ink to create a pattern.  I stamped the title 3 times to make the image darker and stand out on the patterned paper.  I really struggled with the embellishments for this page, not sure why.  In the end, I’m not in love with it but satisfied.  I took that last picture as a closeup of the title area on my layout but after uploading it I can see that it would make a great card so there’s another idea for you!

Now hop on over to Wendy Fording’s Blog for your next stop!

A Day Off

Well, no scrapbook pages to share today.  I am running out of finished layouts and need to get some more done!  I’ve been busy with the usual holiday stuff, including shopping.  Today I checked the door for packages and there was a surprise package for me.  It really shouldn’t have been a surprise but that’s what happens when you’re pregnant…you think my hubby will buy it that I forgot I ordered scrapbooking stuff?!?  Ha!  So on with my surprise package.  It was from Crop Chocolate!  And really there was a lot of surprises in it because I ordered Hot Chocolate (think grab bag) with everything I purchased.  I typically like to know what I am ordering but I have to say “oh, I love everything in there!”  I even like a lot of the surprise stuff even more than what I knew I ordered.  So it was fun and now I am motivated again!  Here’s to hoping I will have one more week of scrapbooking before baby arrives…

Flower barrettes and pins

The girls wanted some flower barrettes at a craft show we were at recently and I told them we have most of the supplies to make our own so we did just that.  This is Christine’s set.  We made the holder and the flowers.  Some are barrettes and some are pins.
