Glittery Valentine Heart Card

Well, it is yet another snow day here today.  The kids are playing nicely so I am going to do my own playing.  My goal for the day is to see just how many challenges I can complete so I am hoping for multiple posts (the organizer in me likes to keep things filed and neat).  So here we go…

Products used: Autumn Leaves Rhonna Farrer heart and starts stamp set, Fiskars border punch, Colorbok glitter paper, Target Dollar Spot pattern paper, Ranger Stickles (cotton candy), Doodlebug Design sugar coating glitter, CTMH bubblegum marker, CTMH ink (ocean & bubblegum) and unknown ribbon.

Challenges:
Inspired Blueprints Card Sketch #39
Simon Says – Punch It!
Belli Challenge #83 – Hearts
Crafty Creations #51 – Valentines or Hearts
Pretty Pink Papertake
Creative Card Crew – Punch It
Inky Impressions Challenge #28

I found this stamp set in my stash (twice!) so I thought it was a good starting point.  I outlined the inside of the small hearts with a marker before adding the stickles.  This seemed to change the color a bit for more contrast which turned out better.  Since you can’t have too much glitter I added more to the top of the stickles.  I had fun making this glittery card!

ScrapSketch #3 – Silvermist layout

Products used: DCWV Luxury Stack, Cricut Mini Monograms cartridge, Sandylion vellum Disney stickers, Kaisercraft Pearls, Cricut Storybook cartridge, and Cricut Home Accents cartridge.

I used more paper from the Luxury stack.  I love the pearls with this paper.  I made the title with the Cricut Ink Colors.  I have wanted to try these for a long time and I finally bought some with my Christmas money.  I like them!  It’s another great way to add a title.

Challenges:
Scrap Our Stash January Challenge – use something you received for Christmas (my Cricut Ink Colors)
Creative Inspirations Challenge #43 – New Year, New Products
Charisma Cardz Challenge #2 - Anything New

2010 Layout Challenge: #16 of 210

Basic Grey Girls layout

Products used: Basic Grey Aged & Confused Phresh & Phunky papers, unknown ribbons and buttons.

Challenges:
Creative Scrappers Sketch #85
Tuesday Morning Sketches – Buttons & Bows

2010 Layout Challenge: #17 of 210

It looks like I missed the deadline for the buttons & bows challenge but it was part of my inspiration for this page and I don’t think it would have turned out as well if I had taken a different route.

ScrapSketch & Tinkerbell Layout

ScrapSketch is back up and running! I am so excited! These are the first 2 sketches for January and my layouts:

Products used: CTMH Stardust paper, CTMH Stardust Stickease, Lyrical Letters Cricut cartridge, Accents Essentials Cricut cartridge, Queen & Co. felt fusion, and Kaisercraft rhinestones.

2010 Layout Challenge: #14 of 210

Products used: DCWV Luxury Stack, Disney Jolee’s boutique by EK Success, Cricut Mini Monograms cartridge, Sandylion vellum Disney stickers, Kaisercraft Pearl Strips (pink), and unknown 3D butterflies/flowers and organdy ribbon.

I am very pleased with this layout.  I used the Diecuts with a View paper from a stack that I bought online and I didn’t like it as well when I got it so it became buried in my stash.  It was the perfect colors for these layouts and I don’t think I noticed before that it had a sheen shine that is very pretty.  The pearls I used come in strips and I used them to create my own flourishes and used the remaining pearls as centers for the flowers.  I’ll have a layout tomorrow using ScrapSketch #3.

Challenges:
Flutter by Wednesday – any butterfly, fairy, or angel
Cupcake Craft Challenge #73 – Going Girly
SSDS Week 23 – Girly
Raise the Bar – Debut Day!

2010 Layout Challenge: #15 of 210
