Pink Butterfly Card

IMG_1717

It’s a gloomy day here in the midwest so we are inside making cards.  My daughter said “watermelon” so I used that as inspiration for this card (watermelon colors) and it worked!  Patterned paper is KI Memories, all other products were out of my scrap box.

Belle Layout

IMG_1716

Well, it was back to scrapbooking today.  This picture was taken at Ariel’s Grotto in Disneyland last month.  We all had a great time.  It is spendy but I would recommend it. Different princesses come to each table to chat, sign autographs, and take pictures.  The food was quite good as well.  Our favorite was probably the dessert.  I enjoyed the healthy choices and fresh produce (sure beats $6 hotdogs!).  Definately get priority seating.

For this layout I used the sketch below as a guide.  The 3D stickers were added on top of other images on the paper to add more dimension.  I don’t know how to explain these Disney stickers by EK Success but you can see that they don’t photograph well due to their shine.  I found them in the clearance section today at Target!  I figured this would be a good way to use a bunch of my flowers – I love them and just can’t get enough!  Good thing I have girls!  My first choice for the centers would have been brads but this was also a way to use up some of the many eyelets that I’ve been collecting. :-)

Products used: Iced Got Flowers by Prima, eyelets from my stash, Making Memories vellum tag, pink rubon letters Lulu font by American Crafts, 3D stickers by EK Success, unknown Disney paper and adhesive felt ribbon.

Challenge: from Scrapper’s Block Challenge #7.

A Bunch of Cards

My mojo was working for me tonight!  Unfortunately there was no natural light when I took the pictures but you get the idea.

IMG_1710Products used: K&Company chipboard, CTMH Heart of Winter Project Pack, CTMH organdy ribbon, K&Company pearls.  I added details to the flower with markers and ink.  (challenge=sketch)

IMG_1708Products used: CTMH Heart of Winter Project Pack, CTMH Chocolate grosgrain ribbon, Cricut Accent Essentials, and button (unknown).  I added details on the flower with a marker and I used a piercing tool to add details around the scallop border. (challenge=paper piercing)

IMG_1707Products used: CTMH Heart of Winter Project Pack, CTMH White Daisy Just Blooms, Making Memories Chocolate paint.  I used the paint as the centers of the flowers – a great technique! (challenge=paint)

IMG_1709Products used: CTMH Heart of Winter Project Pack, clip and hemp (unknown).  I poked a hole through the flower to attach the clip to it with the hemp. (challenge=binding)

IMG_1711Products used: CTMH Heart of Winter Project Pack, CTMH White Daisy Just Blooms, DCWV vellum quote, CTMH Chocolate grosgrain ribbon, K&Company pearls. (challenge=quote)

IMG_1714Products used: DCWV textured cardstock and pattern paper, Stampin’ Up black grosgrain ribbon, CTMH Sparkles and Cranberry cardstock, button and flowers unknown. (challenge=red/black/white)

IMG_1715Products used: CTMH Boom-Di-Ada Creative Basics papers, flowers from CTMH Heart of Winter Project Pack, CTMH Hollyhock ricrac, acrylic frame by Fancy Pants, CTMH Say It In Style stamp set, and Hampton Art glitter glue.  The acrylic frame is actually two pieces.  I used the glitter glue to stick them together and then I attached it to my project with Liquid Glass.  Glitter glue was also used for the center of the flowers. (challenge=clear window)

These projects were all done for challenges at 365 Cards.

Love Card

IMG_1706

I am thrilled with how this card turned out.  I made it for someone very special in my life.  It’s been a long time since I’ve made a square card and now I think I’m going to be making more!  It’s a nice change.  Papers are CTMH Heart of Winter Project Paper Pack, chipboard and pearls are from K&Company.  The chipboard was one piece that I cut to make two and I added a pearl to the flower.  I cut the scallop square with my Accent Essentials Cricut cartridge.

I used this sketch from the sweetest thing Sunday Sketch Challenge #26.
