If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Linda’s blog ~ Scrappy Therapy.  If you came from Anita Autore then you’re on the right track!

Good Day Fall Layout by Wendy KesslerSupplies used: CTMH Huntington Workshop on the Go Kit (retired)

I have been going through my scrapbook supplies lately trying to use some things up before I order a bunch of new stuff!  Orange is not a color I use very often at all but I was so happy to have these pictures of my daughter playing in the leaves that went so well with this layout!  So for this hop, I am using both ORANGE and OLD. :-)

Your next stop on our Everything ABC’S blog Hop is Catherine Nowak of Catscrapbooking.

Use Your Stash Blog Hop – Begin Summer Recycle

This month’s hop shows that there are many options when it comes to recycling and your crafting.  My first idea was to use Scrabble letters or Dominoes on a scrapbook layout but I came up with another idea at the last minute.

This hop is a circle; if you have just started simply continue until you make your way back here; if you have already started, you should be coming from Joy McHargue.

Marker Storage by Wendy Kessler
Supplies used: Aluminum cans, CTMH Dotty For You Paper Packet (retired), CTMH Dark Chocolate Striped Ribbon, CTMH Colonial White Grosgrain Ribbon (retired).

This is a great project that has many different uses and you probably already have all the supplies.  I cut my pattern paper into 4″ x 12″ strips and just overlapped the excess.  The ribbon is cut to 10″ with a small overlap.  I used a hot glue gun for the entire project which was quick and easy.

One tip is to make sure you line up your paper overlap with your ribbon overlap so that you can hide them in the middle of the assembly.  You can use any paper and ribbon from your stash for this project.  I chose a wide ribbon for the top of the can so I could wrap it around and cover the sharp edge on the inside.  I’d also recommend using some Liquid Glass on the end of your ribbon to prevent it from fraying.

This storage will work for any type of markers and can be used horizontally or vertically.  The cans I used (I’d say standard size) hold 13 ShinHan Touch Markers or 17-18  Copic Markers.  I recommend 17 of the Copics because allowing a little wiggle room makes it easier to take them in and out.  Because of the shape of the ShinHan, they are easy to get out and fit 13 comfortably.

Now hop on over to Katy Donaldson Taylor!
