Merry Christmas Blessings Blog Hop

Here we go!

Supplies used are all Close to My Heart: Cardstock (New England Ivy, Clover, Candy Apple, Pomegranate), Inks (New England Ivy, Clover, Candy Apple, Pomegranate, Toffee), Gold Glitter paper, Gold Glitter Gems, Cricut Season of Joy Digital Collection, and Christmas Blessing stamp set.

I just loved these cards so much! I really like the different colors that they were originally created with but I know there are many people who prefer using traditional Christmas colors for their cards so I wanted to show you what this workshop could look like using traditional colors. I also changed the glitter paper and gems from silver to gold and added some different ribbon.

Here are the cards in the original colors:

Shake Things Up! CTMH Technique Blog Hop

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!  This month we are highlighting Shaker Thin Cuts. This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork incorporating this technique.  If you are coming from Debi McBain Blog, you are on the right track!

It was so much fun using some new products to create this card. I was disappointed when the thin cuts for this stamp set sold out but it really isn’t hard at all to fussy cut. I will mention that you do not need much “filler” in a shaker card like this where there is a sentiment underneath. I used pieces from the Loose Sequins to embellish my card.

Supply List: Thin Cuts – Shaker Window & Confetti, Shaker Window Foam & Acetate, Wonder of the Season stamp set, Carmine ShinHan Marker, Sap Green ShinHan Marker, Almond Cardstock, Intense Black Ink Pad, Gold Sequin Ribbon, Gold Loose Sequins, Tis the Season Paper Packet, and White Card & Envelopes.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue onto Michelle Johns’ Blog where you will find some additional artwork highlighting this technique!  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought of my variation and happy hopping!

This month Close To My Heart Consultants are sharing their creations using this month’s SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. To follow along just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

Products used are all Close to My Heart: Seasonal Trees stamp set, Boutique Scrapbooking stamp set, Inks (Saffron, Goldrush, New England Ivy, Pomegranate, Espresso), Cardstock (Goldrush, New England Ivy), Gold Ribbon, Gold Glitter Gems, and White Daisy Cards & Envelopes Value Pack.

To create the stamped tree on this card, I inked the leaves in the lightest color (Saffron), then added other ink colors to the stamp with sponge daubers before stamping. I just love the variation of fall colors that can be created with this technique.
